Electrical risk insurance
What is insured?
Electrical risk insurance is an insurance product that has been specially developed for Elektrum's business customers in cooperation with If Insurance. The insurance protects companies and their tenants against material damage to their electrical equipment caused by lightning, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload or short circuit.
Where is the insurance valid?
Electrical risk insurance is valid at the place of business of the company or its lessee, for which an electricity sales contract containing insurance cover has been entered into with Elektrum.
What are the insurance risks?
- lightning strike
- sudden and unexpected overvoltage or undervoltage, overload or short circuit outside the object of insurance
- sudden and unexpected overvoltage or undervoltage, overload or short circuit within the object of insurance, if it causes damage to another electrical equipment
- planned work of the network operator that caused overvoltage or undervoltage, overload or short circuit.
What costs are reimbursed?
If the device can be restored, the cost of restoring the device will be reimbursed.
If the device cannot be restored, the market value of the device will be reimbursed or, in the case of desktop computers, laptops, projectors, copiers, scanners or printers up to 2 years old, the purchase value of a new device is reimbursed.
