The country's first charging stations were opened in 2019 under the Latvenergo Group brand Elektrum Drive to establish a charging network and offer consumer goods related to electric mobility. Elektrum Drive's network of charging stations is based on demand and provides the customer with ultra-fast, high-speed and medium-speed charging options and the most convenient user experience through a special application and a payment system that takes into account the amount of electricity consumed.

The expansion of Elektrum Drive's charging network is currently underway, during which charging stations will be built in Lithuania and Estonia.

Currently, Elektrum Drive charging stations are available in Latvia in Riga, Jūrmala, Valmiera, Daugavpils, Aizkraukle, Jēkabpils, Jelgava, Liepāja, Ventspils, Mārupe region, Dobele region and Babīte region.

Charging stations are also planned to be opened in other places in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, about which separate information will be provided.

The following plugs with different charging capacities are available at Elektrum Drive charging stations:

• The ChaDeMo connector is a fast charging standard used mainly in electric vehicles from Asian manufacturers and some European models;
• The CCS connector, or Combo, is a fast charging standard that improves upon the slow charging connector with two DC sockets (allowing DC charging);
• The Type 2 plug is a plug standard for slow/medium speed charging that is officially approved by the European Union in EU territory.

You can find more detailed information about the connectors available at Elektrum Drive charging stations and their charging capacity in the Elektrum Drive app by selecting "Stations" > "Specific station" > "Connector selection".

To charge an electric vehicle at an Elektrum Drive charging station, you must first register in the Elektrum Drive application, which is available for Android and iOS devices.

If you haven't installed Elektrum Drive on your device yet, you can find it for free in the AppStore and GooglePlay.

Follow the instructions given in Elektrum Drive:

• enter the required data (mandatory) and your phone number;
• read and agree to the terms of use of the application and electric charging;
• you can also add your payment card instantly.

The Elektrum Drive application is available in Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian and English.

You can also register in the Elektrum Drive application with phone numbers registered in other countries (depending on the option offered). Select "Create charging profile" in the Elektrum Drive app and press the country code to select another country's code.

Charging electric cars in the Elektrum Drive network is a paid service. Electric vehicles can be charged by natural and legal persons. Charging of electric vehicles can be paid for immediately or later.

• To pay immediately, you need to add a payment card in the Elektrum Drive application. After loading, you can download the PDF invoice from the app. When preparing an invoice, the legislation applicable to the submission of invoices for accounting purposes is followed.
• If you pay after using the service, a corresponding contract is concluded. An app and/or an RFID card can be used for charging. The invoice is sent once a month to the e-mail address specified in the contract

• In addition, charging of electric vehicles at the Elektrum Drive charging stations can be paid for through applications from roaming partners and with an RFID card/chip. If you use roaming apps to recharge, please note that additional charges may apply.

After registering in the Elektrum Drive app, you can charge in the Elektrum Drive network in all Baltic countries (i.e. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) without additional registration or commission.

Advantages of Elektrum Drive charging stations: you pay for the kilowatt-hours (kWh) you use, not the total charging time.

Charging tariffs can be viewed in the "Stations" section of the Elektrum Drive application by selecting the appropriate station and opening the "i" icon in the information window. You can see information about the plugs in the station and their availability, as well as the charging price of the plugs per kWh.

When registering in the Elektrum Drive application, the customer selects the language and country in which he mainly wants to register. By default, the country is offered based on the selected language. It is also possible to change the country. The options include Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (the selection of additional countries under "Other", but in this case you can only load with immediate payment). If charging takes place in other Baltic countries, the payment card must be connected again before charging. The customer can add the same payment card that is in their country-specific profile or another payment card.

Please note that the payment card must enable online purchases and the card must have sufficient funds to allow the reservation of the amount to be paid.

Once the payment card is registered, the payment card number becomes partially visible so that the customer can identify the added payment card.

In the Elektrum Drive application, only one payment card can be stored in the selected country profile at a time.

The most convenient way to add and save a payment card is under the settings of the Elektrum Drive application.

If the customer has difficulties adding payment cards and making payments using PayPal, Payser, Revolut, etc. payment cards, the customer must contact the bank that issued the card.

Adding a payment card is the last step of registration in the Elektrum Drive application. You will be asked "Do you wish to save this payment card for easier charging?" Yes/No" ("Would you like to save this payment card to facilitate loading? Yes/No"). If you select "Yes", you will be redirected to "Settings" > "Payment card" where you need to take other necessary steps to add a payment card.

In the Elektrum Drive application, select "Settings" > "Payment card", under which you will find the option "Add Payment card", where you can take the necessary steps to add a payment card.

To change the payment card, the existing saved payment card must be deleted from the Elektrum Drive application. In the Elektrum Drive app, select "Settings" > "Payment card" > "Delete". You will then see a question on the screen asking if you are sure you want to delete the payment card - select "Delete".

After that, in the Elektrum Drive application, under "Settings" > "Payment card", you will find the option "Add Payment card", where you can take the necessary steps to add a payment card.

For immediate payment, open the Elektrum Drive app and press the "Transactions" button at the bottom of the main view. In the new view, you can select the required invoice and download it.

If you pay for charging later, an invoice will be sent once a month to the e-mail address specified in the contract.

If you do not charge the vehicle at the Elektrum Drive charging station, the booked amount will be automatically returned to your account as soon as possible. This usually happens within 10 minutes.

Before charging for the first time at the Elektrum Drive charging station, four important steps must be taken.

Charging of electric vehicles is completed in one of the following ways:

• charging ends automatically when the battery of the electric vehicle is full or reaches the charge level set by the user;
• charging ends automatically when the reserved funds run out;
• charging can be terminated manually via the Elektrum Drive app.

If charging does not end in the above ways, contact Elektrum Drive's 24/7 customer support.

After charging, depending on the charging device, the plug must be disconnected from the electric vehicle and placed in the designated place in the charging device, or the plug must be disconnected from the electric vehicle and the charging device. Depending on the model of the electric vehicle, it may be that additional steps must be taken in the vehicle to remove the plug.

The following factors affect the charging speed of an electric vehicle:

• battery temperature;
• battery charge level;
• ambient air temperature.

The charging speed depends only on the electric vehicle, not on the charging equipment.

Make sure that the battery charge limit is not set in the electric vehicle.

Make sure that charging control apps don't regulate charging for you. If you suspect that someone has interrupted the charging without your permission, or the charging stopped for other reasons, please contact Elektrum Drive customer support.

Before charging for the first time at the Elektrum Drive charging station, make sure that you have successfully registered in the Elektrum Drive application and added a payment card that allows online purchases or signed a contract for later payment.

General description:

• In the main view of the Elektrum Drive application, there is a map from which you have to select the desired charging station - by clicking on the station icon, the description of the station opens.
• To start charging, scan the QR code printed on the charging device or enter the corresponding symbols manually.
• Once the QR code has been entered and you have selected instant payment, the amount to be booked must be selected.
• Depending on the charger, connect your plug to the charger and the electric vehicle, or the charger to the electric vehicle, and charging begins. Be sure to pay attention to the specific device as well, as sometimes additional steps are required.

In the Elektrum Drive application, the duration of use of the charging device can be set, so that owners of other electric vehicles can better plan their charging.

• Check that all the steps are done correctly in the Elektrum Drive app.
