Accessibility statement

Elektrum Eesti OÜ (hereinafter referred to as Elektrum or the company) aims to ensure that all users can use the digital services it provides independently and without obstacles. In order to continuously improve the user experience, the company regularly assesses the accessibility of its digital services (website, mobile applications) and makes necessary improvements. Digital services are designed in such a way that their content is as accessible as possible to persons with disabilities.

ELEKTRUM ESTONIA website

Compliance status
This website partially complies with  the technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

The site was last tested on June 18, 2025. It is based on a review of a representative sample of websites by a qualified accessibility expert, using manual and automated testing. We assess website accessibility both through our own internal analysis and through the use of an external company.

The website uses certain third-party services (e.g., payment environment or live chat, experience rating features) that are integrated as partner solutions. Since we do not directly control the content and functionality of these components, we cannot ensure their full compliance with digital accessibility requirements.

Website accessibility restrictions:

  • The website lacks the ability to skip repetitive blocks of content, which forces users to go through the same sections multiple times.
  • The color contrast of certain text or graphic elements with the background is insufficient.
  • Some interactive elements are currently not accessible using the keyboard alone.
  • Some controls and functions do not have semantic tags or clear accessible names, which makes them difficult to use with assistive technologies.
  • The animation on the website does not have the ability to stop, pause, or hide it, which can cause difficulties for users.
  • The website contains programming code errors that may prevent assistive technologies from correctly interpreting and navigating the content.
  • Some links do not have clear and contextual descriptions, making it difficult for users to understand the purpose or goal of the link without clicking on it.
  • Non-text content, including images, does not have alternative texts ("alt" tags), making the information inaccessible to users who use screen readers.
  • Some of the documents provided on the website (e.g. PDF files) are not fully adapted for use with assistive technologies, some of them do not have a marked-up structure, alternative texts or correct reading order.
  • The active areas of some interactive elements (such as buttons or links) are too small or too close together on mobile versions, making them difficult to press with a finger.

ELEKTRUM ESTONIA mobile app

Compliance status
The mobile app partially complies with  the technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

The most recent app test was conducted on March 18, 2025. It is based on a review of a representative sample of the app by a qualified IAAP accessibility expert using manual and automated testing. We assess the accessibility of the app through both our own internal analysis and the use of an external company.

The app uses certain third-party services (such as payment environment or live chat features) that are integrated as partner solutions. Since we do not directly control the content and functionality of these components, we cannot ensure their full compliance with digital accessibility requirements.

App accessibility restrictions

The evaluation identified several areas where the app's accessibility does not meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements:

  • The app lacks the ability to skip repetitive blocks of content, forcing users to go through the same sections multiple times.
  • Some interactive elements do not have a clearly defined role, accessible name, or value, making them inaccessible to users using assistive technologies.
  • Certain components do not programmatically provide sufficient information about visual structure, context, or relationships, which makes it difficult to understand content hierarchy and interfaces when using screen readers.
  • Some element navigation is not supported by alternative input methods, such as gestures or navigation using screen reader commands, so not all users can access the content independently.
  • The color contrast of some text and graphic elements with the background is insufficient.
  • Some controls and functions do not have semantically correct tags or access names, so their purpose is not clearly identified using assistive technologies.
  • There are errors in the programming code that can prevent assistive technologies from correctly interpreting and navigating content.
  • Some links do not have clear and contextual descriptions, making it difficult for users to understand the purpose or goal of the link without clicking on it.
  • Non-text content, including images, does not have alternative texts ("alt" tags), making the information inaccessible to users who use screen readers.
  • Some of the documents provided (e.g. PDF files) are not fully adapted for use with assistive technologies, some of them do not have a marked-up structure, alternative texts or correct reading order.
  • Some interactive elements (such as buttons or links) have active areas that are too small or too close together, making them difficult to press with your finger.

Understanding that improvements are still needed in certain areas, we are currently making the necessary changes and plan to introduce additional features in the near future that will improve the user experience, especially for those who use assistive technologies.
