Elektrum Eesti is headed by Agnes Makk

From October 17, Agnes Makk will start working as the Chairman of the Management Board and the Executive Director of "Elektrum Eesti". Andrus Liivand also continues to work on the Management Board of the company. The expansion of the Management Board is related to the strengthening of the company's development and market position.

Since 2012, when the electricity market was liberalized in Estonia and the competition for customer choice between local merchants and new offers increased rapidly, Elektrum has consistently occupied one of the leading positions in the field of electricity trade in Estonia. In recent years, Elektrum Eesti has continued to develop business in the Estonian market in several new business directions. In addition to the sale of electricity, the company is involved in the retail sale of the natural gas market, solar panels and heating solutions, the development of renewable energy projects and the creation of the Elektrum electric car charging network. Elektrum Eesti has also acquired several companies in Estonia.

Dmitrijs Juskovecs, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Elektrum Eesti: "As new business directions develop, the expansion of the company's management team is a natural step that will contribute to faster and more dynamic growth in the future, helping to strengthen Elektrum's position not only in the Estonian market, but also in the entire Baltic market."

Achieving growth in Elektrum Estonia requires organic growth, which is a challenging task for the company under the leadership of the new Chairman of the Management Board in the highly competitive Estonian market. The main tasks of Management Board Member Andrus Liivand will be related to the development of additional business growth opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions of new companies, various new renewable energy business directions, as well as the expansion of Elektrum Drive's pan-Baltic electric car charging network in Estonia. The strengthened Board implements the company's growth strategy together to ensure Elektrum Eesti's continued success in the energy sector.

Agnes Makk has 28 years of experience and a result- and growth-oriented approach in banking, financial technology, information technology and the circular economy. During her career, she has managed housing loans, consumer financing and credit cards in the Baltic market, investment and pension funds in the Estonian market. Agnes Makk previous work and management experience is related to the introduction of new products to the market, rapid business growth, export and development of new markets. Agnes has worked as the Chairman of the Management Board at Swedbank Investment Funds, Maksekeskus, Bertelsmann Group and Foxway.

Latvenergo's subsidiary Elektrum Eesti, which was founded on June 27, 2007, is mainly engaged in the retail sale of electricity and natural gas in Estonia. In 2022, as a result of the reorganization, Elektrum Eesti's subsidiaries SNL Energia 1 and Baltic Energy System were merged into the subsidiary Energiaturu Võrguehitus, which deals with the management of electricity connections and the construction of substations. The supervisory body of Elektrum Eesti OÜ is its Supervisory Board, whose chairman is JSC "Lavenergo" Management Board member Dmitrijs Juskovecs.
