Elektrum Eesti is offering a new electricity package with 31% cheaper price than the current Universal service package
“KALJUKINDEL Klõps” - the new fixed-priced package from Elektrum.
The new cheap electricity package from Elektrum for home consumers is 31% cheaper than the Universal electricity service.
With the launch of the Universal service in October last year, the state sent an important signal that consumers will not be left alone with their concerns over the rising energy prices. Until March 31, the state compensates the consumers of the Universal service and of all free-market electricity packages with 5 cents/kWh (without VAT) from the price of the consumed electricity, provided that consumers themselves pay 8 cents/kWh (without VAT). Although the compensation will disappear starting from April, it has justified itself well and helped consumers during the period of very high electricity prices, especially in the 4th quarter of the previous year.
“The electricity market has changed again significantly, and the price of the Universal service is no longer the cheapest solution for the home consumer,” said Andrus Liivand, the Chairman of the Management Board of Elektrum Eesti OÜ.
From the free-market electricity packages, the consumer has a choice between either Nord Pool exchange-priced and fixed-priced solutions.

“When it comes to Nord Pool exchange prices, it is useful to remember that the only price that one can be sure of is the past price, and there are still many variables regarding future prices that are difficult to make precise estimates about: weather conditions, realistically available renewable energy production resources, the economic environment, the price of natural gas and the filling of gas tanks in Europe for the upcoming winter, geopolitical developments, etc. However, to manage one’s own consumption and direct it to cheaper hours, the exchange-priced package is still the best solution.”
We are introducing two alternative fixed-priced electricity packages from Elektrum:
Kaljukindel Klõps - the newest electricity package from Elektrum in a novel solution for home consumers who prefer short period fixed prices, but do not want to monitor electricity prices every month or every hour (as in the case of a package with an exchange price).
Kaljukindel Klõps gives the consumer a price guarantee for 1 calendar quarter (3 months), the price ceiling is the price of the Universal service, and in addition, the package includes extensive insurance coverage in case of breakdowns of electrical household appliances and home help services (electrician, plumber, locksmith, builder services)*
The package has an open-ended contract period, the price for the first 3 months is 13.62 cents/kWh (which is 31% cheaper than the Universal service price) and the monthly fee with a special price of only 1,85 euros. The next quarter's price will be published no later than 14 days before the end of the previous quarter for contracted customers in Elektrum's self-service portal. In addition, the package has no contract termination fee, and the contract can be terminated at any time.
Good security is also provided by our second electricity package Väike klõps with fixed price for 6 months and no termination fee. The price of the fixed term contract of Väike klõps (duration 6 months) signed at the beginning of April is 14,43 cents/kWh and a monthly fee 1,85 euros.
